Planting Forests
Ecoprint Supplies proudly supports Greenfleet and their reforestation program.

Project Planting Time
We are excited to announce that the first 1500 of our biodiverse native trees are ready for planting. They are destined for the Kosciuszko National Park in mid 2009 or as close to this time dependent on optimal planting conditions.

Support from our Customers
We would like to thank our numerous customers that have kindly supported us and Greenfleet with this important planting project. Your help has contributed significantly to the reforestation in Australia which will go on to positively impact upon the environment and climate.

Project Planting Details
The Ecoprint planting will be part of the total planting program on the Kalkite Waters site. This is located on the eastern edge of Kosciuszko National Park and was privately owned and grazed prior to its inclusion in the park in the 1960’s. Its’ grazing history has left a legacy of cleared country with many weeds and very few Eucalypts and native shrubs. The total planting aims to cover approximately 400 hectares which equates to approximately 400,000 trees. This tree planting will do more than offset carbon emissions – it will also reduce soil salinity and erosion and provide essential habitat for native wildlife. The indigenous species being planted include:

• Snow Gum (Eucalyptus pauciflora)
• Red Gum (Eucalyptus blakelyi)
• Manna Gum (Eucalyptus viminalis)
• Mountain Gum (Eucalyptus rubida)
• Silver Wattle (Acacia dealbata)
• Wooly Grevillea (Grevillea lanigera)
